as much as we would love to push through with the event this saturday (oct.3), the threat of tropical storm pepeng (parma) has constrained us to POSTPONE the scrapjam. the safety of the jammers and other participants is more important to us at this point.
the expected landfall of pepeng is on sunday in Northern Luzon BUT the change in weather should be felt as early as Friday or Saturday. typhoon Ondoy (packing maximum winds of 85kph near the center and a gustiness of 100 kph) left so many of our countrymen homeless and dead.
as it approached eastern samar, pepeng was tracked with maximum sustained winds of up to 130kph near its center and a gustiness of 160kph…and it’s course has not changed.
after thorough deliberation, the organizers decided to just postpone the Jam and re-schedule it to next Saturday (OCTOBER 10).
we hope all of you understand and join us as we pray for the storm to spare our country.
please feel free to contact us for any other questions.

made this one today. haven’t thought of a title yet. but i might leave it just like that — untitled — mark wants to have it framed so he could hang it in his office. aaaaawwwww. 🙂 sweet ‘no? and if that happens…maybe i could make another layout just like it with a photo of me + isa naman. i still have 90% of the same materials in my stash.
can’t help but fall in love with that paper from CreativeImaginations (Karen Russell Narratives). and i’ve been punching butterflies like crazy since i got the limited edition butterfly squeeze punch from Fiskars. (ehehehe…i know…i know… butterfly addict talaga)
also wrapped up some of my DT work for ScrapbooksHawaii using the May kit (Breathtaking) —–
made good use of my precision tip scissors. it’s actually a very quick layout to make…save for the cutting of the flowers and the frame… photo was taken yeeeeeeaaaaaarrrrs ago – back when it was just the two of us… camera phone nga lang yan eh. tweaked it just a teeny bit in photoshop.
another layout that was super easy to make… photos were taken 2 days ago while miggy was taking his afternoon nap and his mom had nothing better to do except hover over him with the camera in hand.
finally got to scrap some of our photos taken last december —
THERE ARE STILL A COUPLE OF THE MAY MAIN KITS AND ADD-ON KITS AVAILABLE FROM SCRAPBOOKS HAWAII READY TO BE SHIPPED TO YOUR DOORSTEP. EMAIL OR TEXT ME FOR YOUR ORDERS.
THE FOLLOWING FISKARS PUNCHES ALSO ARRIVED: effervescence, upper crest, apron lace, scallop sentiment, elegance, boundary waters
MORE ABOUT OUR NEW ARRIVALS IN THE FOLLOWING DAYS. stay tuned!!! 🙂
spending a big chunk of my day with these two. we’re really thankful and relieved that isa has adjusted pretty well (so far) to being a big sister and not having all the attention to herself. she loves giving miggy kisses and gently stroking his head while he sleeps. although we still have to constantly remind her that she has to be careful around her baby brother (medyo may pagka “kamay na bakal” kasi si ate) but she’s learning + listening.
speaking of twos… Kaya is celebrating its 2nd anniversary this month and ScrapbooksHawaii is sponsoring the two challenges. deadline for the first challenge is tonight and challenge no. 2 starts tomorrow. and here is my sample layout for the second challenge —–
couldn’t sleep again last night. my back really hurts and no amount of tossing + turning + loud groaning could solve my predicament… so, i opened up my Artbin-full of CHA goodies and played with some AmericanCrafts (cardstock + pps from the Backyard Line + stickers + thickers + flairs + felt and plastic accents + rub-ons) —
felt better after two quick layouts AND the mojo stayed put…so i took out my ScrapbooksHawaii April kit (Homecooked) and made these —
there are a handful of these kits available and ready for shipping to your doorstep. (also still available — Pocket of Sunshine + Dawn + Grad). email me for your orders. 🙂 and do check out our DT gallery for some inspo. 🙂
i am soooooo into butterflies right now. i keep reaching for these from my stash (makes me think that maybe i should just leave them on my scrap table. lol) —
what about you guys? what scrap stuff do you keep using over and over and over again? 🙂
[yey. Friday na bukas!!!]
[sorry for the slight delay. had to finish a TON of paperwork in the office before my very looooooooong vacation. 🙂 ]
so — i assigned the numbers 1-9 to the names on the list of Philippine scrappers who ordered/bought a First Kiss kit from ScrapbooksHawaii (note: there is a separate raffle for Hawaii scrappers) —
and let the random number generator do the work —
congratulations, LEE and BEA!!! each of you will get a set of these from ScrapbooksHawaii —
pls. email me your addresses so i can ship these out to you asap. 🙂 thanks!!! 🙂
