…somewhere south of manila. 🙂 after reporting for work last tuesday (after a 3-day weekend), we packed our bags and headed out after breakfast yesterday to scenic Tagaytay (touted as one of the most pleasant cities one could visit here in the Philippines and where one would see a panoramic view of Taal Volcano).

we made good time…didn’t encounter any heavy traffic (thank God for the Skyway + the fact that most people were still stuck in their offices yesterday) and reached Silang in time for lunch at Leslie’s. oh my. the best bulalo talaga ever!!! 🙂 and Isatot even wolfed down a couple of spoonfuls of their yummy laing. lunch was even made more enjoyable because of the string band that serenaded the diners with a wonderful selection of love songs. they were so great that we had to give them a small tip. pramis. malamig talaga boses nila and we thoroughly enjoyed singing along with some of their songs. you have to check them out. 🙂

after lunch, we headed over to One Tagaytay Place — one of the newest hotels in the city. was able to get reservations online last week. it’s still in its soft opening and the staff are still trying to get into the groove of things. but they’re so welcoming and accommodating. the price is not bad either. we were able to get a deluxe room (one queen sized bed + extra bed with a small dining area and a sofa, equipped with two LCD screens and cable TV + wifi) for just P6,800 a night. the room even comes with a welcome drink + breakfast + buffet dinner. not bad eh? 🙂

to be continued…

Hey Yoyin! How long will you be in Tagaytay? If you’re staying til the weekend, why don’t you try Bawai’s for fantabulous Vietnamese dishes (reservation only – 0920-9722924).
