sorry. wasn’t able to blog yesterday. had a full day of classes at the convention. the first one was sponsored by HeroArts and was taught by none other than Ms. Jennifer McGuire. was also lucky enough to get in a class by Tim Holtz. got to play with the new alcohol ink colors and the applicator pen (to be released this March). good thing that ย marisa made us some sandwiches as we barely had enough time between classes to recharge (each class would run for about 2 hours).

the classes were pretty awesome. lots of freebies (esp. stamps). love the ones from HeroArts and Tim Holtz. my friends back home will surely love to have these once they’re out in the market.

today was more tiring but definitely FUN!!!! had a Technique Tuesday class (with Marisa) at SEVEN in the morning. yep. 7am. we were barely awake as we entered the convention hall but the class was wonderful and fun as we got to play with some new stamps in making a layout + a card. to top it all off, marisa and i each won some stamps. ๐Ÿ™‚

then after class we quickly went downstairs for the first day of the exhibit/show. ย once the doors were opened, we made a beeline for the Making Memories booth. they were giving away some aprons + totes + tags. and anyone caught on a camera wearing the apron would get a chance to win a slice + at 2pm five slices were raffled off. marisa and i quickly got our raffle tickets right before they started the raffle. and you know what happened? ๐Ÿ™‚

the best thing about it? she won these (MM was generous to throw in an embellishment center with the slice) BUT i’m taking them home with me. hehehe… woooooohoooooooooo!!!!! sa sobrang saya ko, napasayaw ako on the way to the cinema kanina.

to be continued…

[sorry. antok na talaga ako. i have to get up early again tomorrow for another 7am class.]

so…reached LA yesterday morning and was met by a driver at the airport (thanks, Neng!!!) grabbed a few winks before dinner and did a little shopping (konti na lang. tapos na listahan ko. hehehe…ย got a couple of surprises for family and friends back home. ahem…paging Tna…ย got you a Twilight movie companion. ๐Ÿ™‚ hehehe… hindi na surprise… hehehe…

marisa arrived today. picked her up at the airport this afternoon and we headed to the convention center to register and pick up our badges and class tickets. ๐Ÿ™‚

it’s raining today. but the temp is still ok. ๐Ÿ™‚

classes start tomorrow and we’re sooooo excited na!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

so… gotta go. have to get there by 7am.

be safe.

love you.

miss you.

just joking. but it friggin’ feels like it! it’s so cold here in seoul. good thing I armed myself with a good scarf and my new wool jacket. when i stepped into the airport at incheon around 4:30 Phil. time, i thought “man, malamig nga!!!”… little did I know how friggin’ cold it was going to be once i stepped OUT of the airport!!! dang. hehehe…

but it’s ok. was taken directly to a hotel courtesy of the airline as my flight to LA leaves later in the afternoon pa…

the flight here was pretty ok — well except for the fact that there was that distinct smell of korean kimchi coming from somewhere… but the seats were comfortable. was able to get a window seat through the help of gracie‘s wonderful hubby who assisted me from the time I entered the airport + he even saw me through into the airplane. on top of that, he esconced me in the VIP lounge while I waited for me flight!!! free food!!! free booze!!! hehehe… don’t worry… didn’t partake of the latter freebie. just chugged down juice and fruits.

was able to catch a few winks and now i’m heading out to do a little exploring before lunch. i hope everyone back home is well. missing my little girl and hubby terrrrrrrribly. thank God for roaming. ๐Ÿ™‚

to sweetie, pls. don’t forget to pay the water bill. love you. hehehe ๐Ÿ™‚

…in a couple of hours. ๐Ÿ™‚ i’ll be gone for 2.5 weeks and will be back with tons of pictures and chika + {hopefully} lots of scrap goodies. will try to grab as many freebies asย I can so I can share them with you.

will also try to blog while on the road so i can give you hot-and-fresh chika from the CHA. ๐Ÿ™‚ really praying that there will be a lot of attendees para naman mag-pick-up ang scrap business sa US. heard that a lot of manufacturers are either closing shop or trying to downsize the company or just releasing a fewer lines/collections. sigh.

oh well…

toodles!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

  • comfy shoes. check.
  • pasalubong. check.
  • craft tools for CHA classes. check.

  • camera + lenses. check.
  • clothes + toiletries. check.

and then we found the nicest jacket last saturday at debenhams.ย  it’s made of wool +ย acrylic with a “satin-y” lining but is completely machine-washable.ย  the best thing about it? got it at 50% off! ๐Ÿ™‚

need it to brace for the cold weather over at SFO and my 8-hour stop-over at Incheon, South Korea. yep. 8 hours. but it’s cool, though. i get to stay in a hotel for free + free lunch + shuttle service to and from the airport. ๐Ÿ™‚ ok na rin.

have you guys heard of ScrapBlog?

it’s basically an online scrapbooking website where you can create your own digital pages and get to share them online. you can also post to and from your own personal blog. cool ‘eh? ๐Ÿ™‚

had to start packing my things for the trip. most of what’s going into my luggage will be pasalubong for friends and family. hehehe… baka matawa yung nag-o-operate ng xray machine/scanner sa airport dahil makikita lang niya puro turones de casoy + butong pakwan + pastillas, etc. hehehe…

scrappin’ mojo stuck around for a couple of hours during the weekend… got to play with some of my favorite brands…Sassafras Lass + American Crafts + Scenic Route + MM…and also those word stickers from EK success. planning to ransack every craft store in LA and SFO to look for these. was able to get them at Lasting Impressions waaaaaaaaaaay back and it was the last sheet in stock.

pictures were taken last Saturday during Isa’s preview class over at Gymboree. ๐Ÿ™‚ yey! spent some quality time with my awesome duo before I leave them for 2.5 weeks — it will be our first time to be apart EVER. it will be weird to not sleep + wake up beside him + snuggle with her before going down for breakfast. thank God for phones and the internet.

it was Isa’s first experience with “structured” play. the first 30 minutes were fine. she would follow the teacher’s instructions to the T but then she got bored (I guess) and she wanted to leave the group and venture out on her own (I had to let her lest she would throw a tantrum)…but she finally returned to the group when the teacher took out the parachute and she gamely lay down as the mommies+yayas lifted it up and down. fun. ๐Ÿ™‚

then i re-discovered this picture of me + the little girl taken middle of last year (talk about backlog…). printed it but never got to scrap it until now…looking back at our albums, it seems that there are just a few of them with me… so lately, i’ve been handing the camera duties over to mark…

grabbed most of the materials from an SC kit (forgot which one) and stuck a few AC Flairs and KI stickers here and there… love that I had the paper AND a flair to match! ๐Ÿ™‚

1. just one more major assignment and i’ll be worry-free when i leave on the 22nd (well, at least with regards to work — will still be worrying about mark and isa when i’m gone…will still miss them terribly while i’m away…)

2. tinkered again with my SC december kit. kinda bummed that i didn’t get the january kit. didn’t like it at first glance. but then it kinda grew on me and now I want it baaaaaaaaaad! sigh. the main kit is (i think) still available but the add-on that i like is gooooone!

materials used: from SC december main kit + add-on, BG ornaments stamp, MM trim and AC flair

3. munching some cornflakes and raisins as i type this. lol. no more Lays or Pringles or Doritos for me for the next couple of months. and i really miss my Twix!!!!

4. slightly bummed that i won’t get to watch the Chinese New Year Parade in SFO…already heading home on Feb.6 and the parade will be on the 7th. darn it. won’t also get to watch any baseball game. spring training will only begin near the end of the month.wanted pa naman sana to see the Angels play. maybe next time then…

i’ll just “content” myself by hitting allย the craft stores and indoor marketplaces and outlet stores within a 20-mile radius with marisa. lol. ๐Ÿ™‚ budget shopping to the max!!! hehehe… totoo kaya na Old Navy is gonna close down? hmmm… sana naman hindipero kung totoo, mega-Sale ito!!! hehehe…

5. hey. better grab one of ScrapbookHawaii’s kits before they’re all sold out. ๐Ÿ™‚
