My Scrappylife

1. it’s been a crazy 1/2 week around here. lots of work-related things to do. was neck-deep in documents since last week and i’ve managed to trim them down only yesterday. but there are still a couple of documents that need to be drafted, reviewed and signed. {sigh} can i wish this week away?

2. submitted my entry for Week 5 of the Idol challenge last night. stared at the monitor and hovered the cursor over “send” for quite some time before finally clicking it. hope i make it through to week 6. wish me luck 🙂

3. finally tried my round-it-all on an acrylic sheet. although it takes some elbow-grease, it works!

i’ve heard some complaints before about the RIA. there were some who tried it on paper or thin cardstock and didn’t get a clean corner (there were some slight “fuzz” in some areas).  but i discovered that when you pass it through some sandpaper, it somehow sharpens the blade and eliminates the problem. at least that did it for me. try it.

4. got a happy note from the mailman yesterday informing me that i got a package to claim. so off i went this morning to get these —

this is my prize for winning one of TDX‘s challenges — the July kit from A Million Memories (Summer Passport) which includes 5 MM Passport Papers, 2 Daisy D’s Chloe Marie Papers, 2 JenniBowlin Trendy papers, Scenic Route chipboard shapes and alphas, Basic Grey stickers, a TeresaCollins stamp, some Hambly rub-ons, ribbon, hemp trim, MM Passport tags and postcards, and some Prima flowers.

5. last weekend, i also got my copies of these books from Bookoto

just managed to browse through them — but i loved what i’ve read so far…especially love the fact that there are projects by a fellow Pinay in Ali’s book.

6. did “the dance of joy” yesterday as we were able to get 3 roundtrip tickets to Hongkong this December for only P17,500 TOTAL!!! and the great thing about it is that we fly via Clark (DMIA). so convenient!! kahit 7am pa yung flight, ok lang kasi the airport is just 10 minutes away from our house. we won’t have to leave at an ungodly hour just to get to the airport 2 hours before our plane leaves. then there will also be less hassle when we get back because we won’t have to contend with the smog and traffic in Manila. 10 minutes lang and we’ll be home na.

this will be my 2nd trip to HK but it will be the first for Isa and Mark. so excited for isa as she takes her first plane ride and her first trip abroad. ofcourse, we have to take her to Disneyland to see her favorite mouse.

hmmm…i think i’m gonna do “the dance of joy” again. 🙂

* 80’s baby ka if you know the sitcom where “the dance of joy” comes from. do you still remember? 🙂 i’ll give out a small RAK to the first one who can tell me the title of the TV sitcom PLUS the channel where it was shown. just leave a comment under this post. 🙂 dali!!!
