My heart sank when we found out that the Alabang Scrapjam would be held on July 5 – the same day as Isa’s birthday party.  But that feeling was short-lived as Marisa of Scrapbooks Hawaii agreed to hold a mini-Scrapjam right here in Angeles City.

Yep. You see, Marisa is originally from Angeles City and she also came home to see her siblings who still live in Pampanga.  Teena and Romely where so excited when I told them the great news.  We quickly got to work – made reservations and arrangements for the venue + sent invitations/emails to friends and officemates who might be interested in joining our very own Scrapjam.

And then the big day arrived —–

Picked Marisa and her daughter, Jian, from their hotel around 10am so we can have lunch over at Teena’s place.  We had to meet early to help her prepare for the event which we scheduled at 5pm.  Marisa had to make new samples for the class kits – as she wasn’t able to find those that she used for the Alabang Scrapjam.  Before we knew it, it was already 3pm and we still had to get Marisa’s suitcase from her brother’s house and I had to bring her back to the hotel for a quick shower.

When we got to Shanghai Restaurant in Balibago, Angeles City at 5pm, people where already waiting. There were 22 participants who signed up for the Jam and everyone was so excited to see the items for sale.
