My Scrappylife

Archive for July 2008

…was when teena, rome and our other friends went home last tuesday (so it’s technically wednesday already).  invited them over for dinner + crop night/binyagan-natin-ang-scrap-room-ni-yoyin-night. 🙂

was able to finish a layout that night. i’ve had this picture in my stash since january (talk about backlog).

materials used: plain cardstock, patterned paper (Sassafras Lass, Scenic Route, Daisy D’s), letters (American Crafts, MakingMemories), Scenic Route chipboard circle, Sassafras Lass sticker, AC scalloped ribbon, MM journaling stamp, Zig Millenium

my shelves were installed by the carpenter that afternoon and they’re wonderful!!! so much space for me to store my hoard/goodies + they’re just the right height (eye-level and easily within MY reach but not Isa’s) + the right size (the wire paper racks i got from Vivian easily fit into each cubby).

love watching her attempting to open the gate.

and once she gets hold of the gate, she won’t let her mommy pry her sweet little fingers from it.  but she is willing to play peek-a-boo to appease me… 🙂

finally got her to let go of the gate after much cajoling and a little bribery… hey, a mother has gotta do what a mother has gotta do… 😀

yep.yep. someone’s walking on her own already. me thinks this little girl is not so little anymore. {sniff.sniff}

is it the change in scenery/environment? or the fact that I got my StudioAzul kit? or could it be the faint smell of a newly painted room? or the fact that the room is all mine? hmmm… i don’t know what it is but it sure brought my mojo back after not having scrapped for a couple of days.  and this is my favorite layout of the week…

gotta love that line… gotta love Heath…

also made this using scraps left over from previous layouts…

had a couple of cut-up squares from making the invitations for Isa’s party and was finally able to make a layout about her first haircut.

this is what the actual shirt looks like.

size: SMALL

hurry!!! place your orders now!!! 🙂

ALL t-shirt sizes are now P250.00.  Sizes are from SMALL up to XXXL.

Started to move my things into the scraproom today…didn’t want to move much (if you could call this not moving too much…lol…)  …wanted to wait for the shelves which the carpenter already started making today…will hopefully have everything done early next week.  Also hung this on the wall…

and also these…

This is my scraproom so far. As you can see, the painting is done and so is the tiling…already installed the smila sol lamp…the toilet/bathroom (see that door in the 2nd pic?) is also finished… and the aircon was installed this morning (but these pics were taken yesterday)…already talked to the carpenter for the shelves and other furniture for the room.  I’m keeping my old scrap table and placing it near the window.  See that wire thingie screwed to the wall in the first picture? The table will be placed underneath that.  The wire mesh has hooks where I can hang embellishments and alphas, etc.

Now, this is what you will see outside of the scraproom. This is what connects this area to the main house.  There’s a small staircase to the left leading into Isa’s bedroom.  It’s a newly built hallway and when you turn right at the end, you will come to this…

Tada!!! My very own crop room!!! 🙂 Will hold the first of many crop sessions this Tuesday with a couple of friends.  Ain’t it neat? 🙂  Also planning to have a long table and some stools made for this area. 🙂
