$1.19 = P50.27

This was how much I paid for each of these —

ūüôā was looking for the “Elmo” juice that Isa loved so much when I spotted¬†these in one of the duty free stores here in Clark. Syempre kuha agad ng dalawa ang lola. hihihihi… went home smiling like a happy little duck.

{jumping for joy at 4 in the morning}

finally got to “play” with my StudioAzul March kit and used one of Master Iris’ LOs for inspiration (see mystudioazul.blogspot.com for details) ——-

i tried — but i couldn’t bring myself to “paint” the paintable

journaling — “There’s this special twinkle in your eyes each time we go to the farm.¬† You clap your hands with glee and squeal with delight every time you hear the birds chirping and the rustling of the leaves — You are truly our little farm girl!”

sorry for the crappy shot of the whole LO.¬† my camera flash wasnt as cooperative as i wanted it to be. darn it. can’t wait for tomorrow to come as it brings with it my new canon 400d. hehehe. will definitely post about this new baby.

i’ve been tinkering with Photoshop since college but I didn’t know how to really “use” it – but that changed a little bit (kasi alam ko marami pa akong hindi talaga alam or nadi-discover na gamitin) when I chanced upon PioneerWoman’s blog. wow. as in. i couldn’t believe what a single click of a mouse could do!!! I quickly downloaded her free set of Actions and here are the pictures i’ve edited so far —-

after changing the saturation and applying burn + lighten actions

i’ve been rummaging through my mom’s stuff for old family photographs – with the intention of hopefully creating an album/book of ancestors so that Isa can get to know her roots + preserve the family history and memorabilia.¬† haven’t had much luck though – the result of having moved to another house and my mom’s ability to forget where she kept her stuff. argh.

here’s what¬†i’ve¬†managed to salvage/find¬†so far.

my lolo badong [mama’s father].baguio.near rogelio dela rosa’s mansion

lolo badong.posing for a photo contest.with someone who’s not my lola.chickboy si lolo.

my first cousins.ate jap (looked like a Japanese, hence the nickname) + ate lei.

ate lei on her 2nd bday.wearing a dress that my mom made for her

hubby.got this from his mom [isa looks so much like him.even the curling of the toes and the pouting of the lips.lol.so cute]

{been bloghopping and “almost” everyone is making lists so i decided to start my own.}

“Scrap¬†Supplies¬†I Can’t Live Without” –

1-Fiskars Portable Trimmer: was so surprised to find this at Handyman. It’s soooo lightweight (can easily fit into my¬†tote¬†bag)¬†and it already came with a spare/replacement blade.¬† Love the fact that the guide ruler can also be lifted up.

2-Cutterbee Scissors: this is worth every cent. super precise cutting. barely touched my X-acto knife since I got this from Vivian’s store and my hands have been callus-free eversince (lol)

3-Glue Dots: have been using these since college (waaaay before I even started scrapbooking). love the fact that I can scrap anywhere even if I don’t have a glue gun with me as long as I have these.
